Where to buy

Where to buy NFC business cards

KADO does not manufacture or sell NFC cards. Source blank or custom-printed cards from trusted suppliers, then encode them to your KADO profile in the app.

Any NTAG213 (or compatible) NFC tag or card works. Branding, material, and print quality depend on the supplier you choose.

  1. Tap the card

Hold your NFC card near the top of a compatible iPhone or Android phone.

  2. Profile opens instantly

The chip opens your KADO digital business card in the recipient's mobile browser.

When it makes sense

When an NFC card is worth it

Fast exchanges at events

A quick tap can feel smoother than opening your camera — but remember many phones still need precise tap placement. QR remains the reliable fallback.

Premium brand impression

A well-designed physical card signals polish. You still update your profile digitally — the card just opens the link.

Swag and gifts

Teams sometimes give NFC cards as branded gifts. Factor in per-card cost, shipping, and re-encoding if you change profiles often.

NFC & KADO — frequently asked questions

Compatibility, setup, and how NFC fits alongside QR sharing.

No. KADO does not manufacture or sell NFC business cards. We provide digital business card software that works with NFC tags and cards from third-party suppliers. You can buy blank or custom cards from partners like Amazon or Shop NFC, then encode them to your KADO profile in the app.
An NFC card contains a chip that opens a URL when tapped against a compatible phone. When you encode a card in the KADO app, that URL points to your live digital business card. Recipients open your profile in their browser and save your contact — no KADO app required on their side.
  1. Buy an NTAG213-compatible NFC card or tag from a third-party supplier.
  2. Download the KADO app and open the Exchange screen.
  3. Select your digital business card and tap Encode NFC.
  4. Hold the tag near the top of your phone until encoding completes.
See our step-by-step guide for details.
No — QR is the default. Your KADO digital business card includes a QR code that works on every smartphone with a camera, costs nothing extra, and updates instantly. NFC is optional if you want a physical card for tap-to-share moments. For most users, phone QR is the best place to start.
Look for NTAG213 chips (or compatible NXP NTAG tags). Most blank NFC business cards and stickers from suppliers like Shop NFC or Amazon use this standard. Avoid proprietary or encrypted tags that cannot be rewritten with a URL.
No. When someone taps your encoded NFC card, your KADO profile opens in their mobile browser. They can save your contact details without installing any app — the same experience as scanning your QR code.
No. The chip only stores a link to your KADO profile — not your name, email, or phone number. Your contact data lives securely in KADO. When you update your profile, anyone who taps your card sees the latest information without reprinting or re-encoding.
